Amra Marshall, MSW

Systems Advocacy Coordinator
Amra Marshall, BSW, MSW serves as the Systems Advocacy Coordinator at the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (SCCADVASA). Amra contributes to the work of the Coalition through the advancement of advocacy programming and activities in support of primary prevention efforts against domestic violence and sexual assault.

Amra is a Midwestern transplant hailing from Rockford, Illinois, home of the Rockford Peaches baseball team, the sock monkey, and Mrs. Fishers potato chips. A graduate of Bennett College and the University of South Carolina, she holds a bachelors and masters of social work with an emphasis in social, community, and economic development as well as a minor in sociology. Amra specializes in the enhancement of consumer driven service delivery through program coordination and quality improvement efforts. She has a background in community initiatives with a focus on collaborative resource coordination, project development, and research.

Amra previously worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Alliant ASO where she ensured policy compliance on behalf of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.  In 2018 she served as the Program Assistant at Public Health Innovations in Research and Development (PHIRE) where she facilitated grant closeout efforts in the promotion of healthy eating and active lifestyles for church health ministries. Through her work, Amra focuses on the sustainability of social mobility through the lenses of racial-ethnic identity, gender inequality, and resource accessibility.
