Attendees will learn how to identify the drawbacks along with benefits of online dating. We will talk about how to distinguish between the various kinds of online abuse and gain a deeper understanding of sexual violence prevention.

Welcome to our 2017 Webinar Series! On the 3rd Friday of each month, we offer FREE webinars, on topics ranging from racial justice, how to engage men, coordinated community response teams, and back to school prevention techniques all to help build knowledge and capacity in your services and advocacy. Our webinars are open to the public, so feel free to share with your friends and colleagues. These webinars are approved for VSP continuing education credit and usually last between 1-1 ½ hours.

Since January is Stalking Awareness Month, the first in the series is entitled Stalking and Tech Safety. This webinar will discuss:

  • What stalking is, how common it is, and what are some of the tactics used
  • State and federal laws around harassment and stalking
  • Deeper understanding of online stalking and tech safety tips
  • Your own tips and discover new tools for intervention strategies to support survivors and keep offenders accountable
