Frequently Asked Questions about SCCADVASA’s Trainings and the Training Registration System (Coalition Manager)

What is Coalition Manager?

Coalition Manager is the training registration system that SCCADVASA uses to host and manage our trainings. Anyone wishing to register for trainings, conferences, or webinars hosted by SCCADVASA must first have access to Coalition Manager. Depending on if you are an individual, an affiliate, or a staff/volunteer of a member organization, you will be able to do different things within the system. It is mainly used to register for and keep track of your attendance at SCCADVASA trainings, but staff at SCCADVASA Member Organizations can also do things like view online trainings and download resources.

Why do I need access to Coalition Manager?

Without access to Coalition Manager you cannot register for any SCCADVASA trainings, webinars, or conferences. You can also run reports on yourself (and your staff, if you’re at a member organization) so you can keep track of what trainings you have attended. It’s an easy system that keeps all of your information in one place! Staff at member organizations can also download resources by clicking on the Resources/Publications tab.

How do I get access to Coalition Manager?

Coalition Manager is open to the public and anyone can get access. However, SCCADVASA reserves sole discretion to approve or deny access to Coalition Manager. Abuse of the system or failure to comply with SCCADVASA’s training no-show policy can result in being denied access. Here are the steps to getting access:

  • You must have a username and password to access Coalition Manager.
  • Once your profile is created you will receive an email from noreply@coalitionmanager.org with your password. These emails are often flagged as spam so check your inbox and add the message to a “safe sender” list.
  • Your username is your email address; your password is the one that is emailed to you. You can change your password within the system after you have logged in.

*If you have applied for access and have not received a response after 5 days, please do not recreate a profile with a new email address. Individuals are granted one profile at a time. Contact info@sccadvasa.org with questions.

How do I register for a SCCADVASA training?

Use your username (your email address) and password to log into Coalition Manager. Click on the Trainings tab at the top and then click on “Training Events.” Scroll down the list of available trainings, conferences and webinars. Click on “Add Event Registration” in the section for event that you want to register and fill out the requested information. When you are successfully registered for a training you will receive a confirmation email (at the same email address you used for your profile).

How do I register another person at my organization for a SCCADVASA training?

Generally, you can only register yourself for trainings within the Coalition Manager system. The only exception is if you are an Executive Director or an “administrator” of Coalition Manager at a SCCADVASA Member or an Affiliate Organization, who has organizational access to your own staff. Otherwise, individuals cannot register other individuals. If you need to register someone else for a training or conference, contact info@sccadvasa.org.

How to I cancel my registration for a SCCADVASA training?

To cancel a registration, use your username (your email address) and password to log into Coalition Manager. Go to the event for which you registered by clicking on the Trainings tab at the top and then click on “Training Events.” Under the section for the event, you will see the registrant’s name written next to “Registration Status.” Click on this link to open up a page to edit or remove your registration. After you click on “Remove Registration” click “confirm.”

How do I register and watch a SCCADVASA online training?

Not all users have access to view online trainings. Only Coalition members and affiliates have access to this service. If you have user access to watch online trainings, click on the “Trainings” tab, then click on “Online Trainings.” Choose from the list of available online trainings and click on “Add Event Registration.” You will now be able to watch the online training at your own pace. How do I attend a webinar?

SCCADVASA hosts a monthly webinar series. You can register for a webinar in a similar way that you register for an in-person training, except there is a second step to registering for a webinar.

  • Step one: Use your username (your email address) and password to log into the system. Click on the Trainings tab at the top and then click on “Training Events.” Scroll down to see a list of available trainings, conferences, and webinars. Click on “Add Event Registration” in the section for the event that you want to register and fill out the requested information. When you are finished, click “Save Registration.” (not a member?   • Step two, after you save your registration on Coalition Manager you will receive a confirmation email (at the same email address you use for your profile) with a link to register for the webinar. Click on this link and enter the requested information.

Your registration is complete when you receive an email with the directions and the link to join the webinar.

Can I watch a recorded (archived) webinar?

Only SCCADVASA members are able to watch archived webinars. If you are staff or volunteer at a member organization, use your username (your email address) and password to log into the system. Click on the Publications tab at the top and then click again on “Publications.” Scroll down to see a list of available resources and publications for download. Scroll to Training Resources and view the titles of archived webinars. Click on the title to download the webinar that you want to watch, which will give you the link to the recorded webinar. Copy and paste the link into your web browser.

How do I know if I already have a username for Coalition Manager? / I can’t remember if I already registered.

Go to the log-in page for Coalition Manager (http://sc.coalitionmanager.org). Click on “Forgot Password.” Enter the email address that you think is your username. If you have entered the correct username the system will immediately send you an email with your password. If it’s not the correct username, it will tell you that the “system was unable to access the information.” This means the username is incorrect. If the username is incorrect or if you still are not sure of your username and you are staff at a SCCADVASA member organization, ask your Executive Director or the administrator for Coalition Manager at your office to look up your username. If you are not a member organization staff, contact info@sccadvasa.org to look up your username.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

Go to the log-in page for Coalition Manager (http://sc.coalitionmanager.org). Click on “Forgot Password.” It will immediately email you the password to your account. These emails sometimes are flagged as junk; check your spam folder.

How do I get a certificate of completion that I attended a SCCADVASA training?

SCCADVASA no longer distributes certificates of completion for our trainings. Users on the Coalition Manager system can run a report on all the trainings that you have attended since beginning to use the system. Under the Trainings tab click on “Training Summary Reports.” After running your report you can print the page as proof of attendance. Please allow 15 business days after attending a training/conference to update your record in Coalition Manager.

How to request access to Coalition Manager:

How to request a speaker from SCCADVASA:

SCCADVASA provides trainings and in-service educational sessions for victim service providers, advocates, law enforcement, medical professionals, and many other allies on a variety of topics. Below is a list of sample trainings.

Due to limited staffing abilities, SCCADVASA may not be able to provide a trainer for every request. In the event that we cannot fulfill your request we will do our best to refer you to an alternate resource.
