SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintenance and repairs at our Anderson, Oconee, and Greenville shelter locations. Promptly responding to work orders, for assigned location. The employee is required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. As well as lift and/or move 50 pounds or more
REPORTS TO: Facilities Coordinator
Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance/general repairs/upkeep of shelter locations
- Assist on-site volunteers on shelter upkeep related projects
- Pick up shelter supplies/donations and distribute to shelter
- Must be understanding and professional with clients with trauma related issues
- Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of maintenance vehicle
- Maintain proper documentation related to facility maintenance/upkeep
- Maintain equipment needed for repairs
- Report repair/maintenance concerns to supervisor
- Review and respond to Safe Harbor communication platforms as needed (emails, chats)
- Notify supervisor of any supply needs
- Any other assigned duties
Requirements
- Ability to ensure that facilities and equipment are in good shape at all times
- Good time management skills

- Ability to communicate well with management, co-workers and community partners
- Willingness to uphold company standards for safety, service and efficiency
- Ability to drive company vehicles, with a valid South Carolina Driver’s License, good driving record
- Basic computer and math skills
- Ability to perform minor fixes such as; leaking pipes, wall repair, replacing outlets, HVAC filter replacement
- Accessing all facility spaces including crawlspace and attic areas
- Previous experience with property maintenance and repairs
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred Experience with maintenance and repairs required
