Description:
This presentation will address the importance of faith in the lives of older adults and how that faith may influence their experiences, including experiences of abuse. Safe Havens will help us consider the relationship older adults have with their faith leaders and communities, and the role trained faith leaders and communities can play in providing support and referrals to important services. Lastly, Safe Havens will share best practices for partnering with faith leaders and communities to improve older survivors’ access to services and safety.
