SCCADVASA’s Basic Training Course for Victim Service Providers
This course is an intensive, interactive learning experience for new victim service professionals to gain foundational skills such as strengths-based services, advocacy for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and collaboration with allies. This Course is designed for professionals who have been approved by the Department of Crime Victim Services Training, Provider Certification, and Statistical Analysis (CVST, formerly OVSEC) to become VSPs.
Program Overview and Delivery
Our basic training program is delivered through a combination of virtual meetings and online training modules so that individuals can receive most of the training at whatever time and location is convenient for them. Participants must first complete an introductory meeting and 6 online lessons before attending a virtual large group training.
