SCCADVASA’s Executive Director, Sara Barber, was recently featured in a Mother Jones article detailing the challenges and uncertain legal landscape faced by advocates for pregnant victims of domestic and sexual violence across the country since the fall of Roe v Wade.  

Homicide is a leading cause of death for pregnant people in the U.S. and abuse often starts and escalates during this time. Removing access to abortion care is devastating to victims.
